Happy Birthday Sweet Precious!

How can this sweet girl be one already?  I mean, seriously!  It went by way to fast.  I have to keep telling myself that one is still a baby.

This was taken on Friday, her actual birthday.  She is just so precious!  This is her all of the time.

I ordered these cookies to have at her bday party.  I was so super happy with the way they turned out.

I gave HG a cookie on her birthday, well because it was just that.  She wasn't so sure about it.  She had no idea it was a cookie.

She finally figured it out, and loved it!!

We had her party on Sunday, just because it worked with our sch.  Every single person we invited came.

This is the candy and present table.  Our girl was spoiled by so many great friends!  I have decided that a "candy bar" is the greatest idea for party favors.  Super easy!

Her beautiful cake.  My original plan was to make cupcakes, but well, it didn't happen.  Everyone absolutely loved this cake.  IMO, the icing tasted like strawberry flavored butter, a little too much!  Sure missing Mckay's.

Birthday girl!  I forgot to mention that on her birthday we took her to the dr. and she had hand, foot, and mouth disease.  Not fair on your 1st bday!  She is doing so much better now.

Smash cake.  If you can't tell, she wasn't so sure about this.

Sweet precious, kept clapping for herself.

She finally got the hang of it, and loved it.  What a mess!
My helper!  Thank you for helping me so much, Meggan!
Daddy cooking Hamburgers and hotdogs.  He was such a trooper!!  It rained pretty much the whole day, and he got rained on the whole time he was cooking

Sweet friends :)

Mike always helps with presents.

Her favorite gift, a baby doll.

Thank you to everyone who made this day so special!!  We are so blessed to have so many people love our little girl, just as much as we do!

Break and Buddy Boo

Break, as in Spring. Buddy Boo, as in J. Not exactly sure where that name came from, but I have called my brother that for years. I never thought about the fact that he is an adult now, and might not want to be called that. Anyway, my brother and SIL InaBeth came to visit. We had such a blast with them! I regret not taking enough pictures. Hurry back guys, we miss you already!!

The day before they got here Jen and I took the kids to the sprinkler park. I had no idea we had one here in Charleston, but was ecstatic when I found out we did. We dropped Memaw off at the airport that morning and then met Jen and the kids. Let me just pat myself on the back for a minute. I never ever have been good with timing. This morning was by far the most successful morning ever in our house! I packed a picnic lunch for us all and got to the airport with 2 minutes to spare. Then drove to the park and arrived exactly on time. Proud mom moment, let me tell you! The sprinkler park was awesome, crowded, but awesome. I see us there frequently this summer. I discovered sweet precious absolutely loves ice!! Sweet girl!

I will have to do another post about my brother's visit later when I get pics from IB. She took more than I did and the girls did things with them when I wasn't there. Friday night we took them to eat at Brixx, our favorite pizza place. After we finished dinner, Hunky took the girls to feed the ducks outside the restaurant. This could be one of my favorite pictures of all times.
Saturday we went downtown for sightseeing and more unhealthy food. After lunch at Hyman's Audrey had a softball game. Shout out to her for going 3 for 3!! So proud of that girl!!
Sunday was a big day in our house. I actually had to comb HG's hair!! I was beside myself, so exciting! I even made it into a cu-pie curl! I realize now this picture really doesn't show it :(
After church on Sunday we headed to the beach. We have been to this beach many times, but never when it was warm enough to be in a swimsuit. It was a perfect day , the most perfect kind of beach day. Hunky and the girls built a sand castle and splashed in the waves. HG absolutely LOVES the beach! She loves the sand and the way it feels! Weird, huh?
Love this girl!
Funniest story of the day. Madelynn had to go to the bathroom so bad. We told her she could just go in the water, but she couldn't do it. She tried but just couldn't make herself go. We then just told her to stand on the beach and go. She started pulling down her bottoms, and of course we all screamed. She still couldn't go. Finally, my brother suggested she sit on the sand pail and try. It worked!! Good grief, this girl.
We came home that night and had fajitas along with "pina coladas" for the girls. That was a mistake, now they want one every day.
Tuesday, before we dropped them off at the airport we stopped by the base. Mike took us all out on the flight line and into a C-17. It was amazing! I am so glad we can do things like that. I can't believe this picture is so blurry! Thanks for coming to visit you 2!! We love you!

Challenging

Who would have thought taking one picture a day would be so challenging? My goodness!! Here's to catching up!!

April 7: SHADOW
Well, I read about this fabulous eye shadow on another blog and knew I wanted to get some. I used some of my bday money from my nana and gdad to purchase it. Thanks you 2!! It's just as fabulous as the blog said it was. There are tons of tutorials on youtube of various ways to put it on. Run to your nearest Ulta and get ya some! It's def. worth it!!
April 8: INSIDE YOUR WALLET
I love this!! I had to be creative, of course!! "The girls" got Easter cards and a "golden coin" as Madelynn would call it from PatPat and Aunt Kiss!! Thanks for making their day!!
April 9: YOUNGER YOU
I called my mom and asked her to send me a picture. I told her it didn't matter what part of my life it was from, just one of her favorites. I am so glad she chose this one! I have never thought the girls looked like me, but I can def. see MP in this picture!!
April 10: COLD
My new favorite drink :) Man, I love this stuff!
April 11: WHERE YOU ATE BREAKFAST
No, I did not eat cleaning products for breakfast. When I should have been eating breakfast, I was cleaning bathrooms. I got up sooo early that morning getting last minute things done because, HUNKY AND INABETH were coming!!!
April 12: STAIRS
Yep, those are the dreaded stairs I fell down. They just look horrible, huh?
April 13: SOMETHING YOU FOUND
Let me tell ya just how excited I was to find this. While trying to find something for HG to wear, I found an entire tub full of clothes and shoes in her size. Woohoo!!
April 14: HOW YOU FEEL TODAY
I love dressing up!! There is nothing like spending time getting yourself ready when you usually rock a ponytail and pajamas all day. While J and IB were here I had many an opportunity to wear makeup and get dressed!! Come back soon guys!!
That's it for now! I have yet another crazy week ahead of me and need to sleep a little. Besides, I have a new bottle of exfoliating scrub calling my name. I know that sounds ridiculous, but it's the little things.
