First Day of School Part 2

Yep!! That's right, #3 is on the way!!

First Day of School

This was a very big first day of school for our family. AK started 1st grade at the elementary school that I went to, and it was my very last 1st day of school ever!!! It wasn't until later that afternoon we would find out just exactly how big this day would be.

Meet the Teacher

These 4 have been together since they were babies.

I am an American Airman

I am an American Airman.
I am a Warrior.
I have answered my Nation's call.

I am an American Airman.
My mission is to Fly, Fight, and Win.
I am faithful to a Proud Heritage,
A Tradition of Honor,
and a Legacy of Valor.

I am an American Airman.
Guardian of Freedom and Justice,
My Nation's Sword and Shield,
Its Sentry and Avenger.
I defend my Country with my Life.

I am an American Airman.
Wingman, Leader, Warrior.
I will never leave an Airman behind,
I will never falter,
And I will not fail.
I had to take this picture for Audrey. The B-1 pilots are called "bats" at Dyess and this is on the wall in their building.

Mike and Mike
I am so proud of Mike. He reenlisted on 10 August 2011. I am so proud to be the wife of an American soldier. So many people think it is so hard, but I find it a complete honor. He had his best friend Major Michael Mellott do his ceremony and we were lucky to have him do it. The next six years will be very interesting to see where we might end up.

Nick and Dida

Before school started we wanted to make one last trip to see a Rangers game. We got to stay with my best friend and her husband, so it was two awesome trips in one. Saturday we met Ernie for lunch and a little shopping while the boys were "naughty". Then Saturday night we went to the game and I will say I have never been that miserable in my life. NEVER again will I go an August Rangers game. I love those little weekends away, especially when we get to stay at the Shepherd's house.
Somehow, even though there were 4 adults present, Madelynn managed to put on Dida's make-up.

The M's Birthday Parties

My sister, mom, and Madelynn each have a birthday a week for three straight weeks so we enjoy celebrating together. Madelynn had a party Saturday and I don't have a lot of pics, long story but I just don't. It was Minnie Mouse and we had a blast. That night we went to my parents for dinner and more celebrating. This was a special birthday for Molly because from the time we are born my dad starts a "box" for us and we get to open it on our 21st birthday. She was the last to open her box and so it was kind of sad for all of us because another part of life was over. Of course dad had more tricks up his sleeve. He decided to get everyone a present and lets just say he did mighty good!!

The one picture I did get from the party.
Mom cutting the cake
One of our favorite meals: bacon wrapped shrimp, scallops, potato casserole, salad, and steak!

These little ones were wiped out!!

H-TOWN

We made the trek to Houston to see family because Mike had not seen anyone since his return. We had a great time with so many people! I finally got to go to the Galleria and OH MY STARS, that place is amazing!!! Every time we go to Houston I made a trip to PBK because there are so few and since we are already there it works out great. While there I happened to look out the window and a Sprinkles had gone in right across the street. So, pretty much I was in heaven the whole day. I always enjoy spending time with Mike's Memaw, she is absolutely precious! While Mike and his parents played golf I took the girls to Rainforest Cafe. It was so hilarious, maybe MP will understand a little better next visit!

Pretty much sums up Madelynn's reaction when the animals went off. HAHA!!

YUMMO!!!

Madelynn's birthday was the following week so she got to open a few presents.

When we weren't swimming.....

We locked ourselves out of the house, and had to crawl through windows,
We colored pictures for Nana and Grandad,
We had VBS,
We went skating,
We had many a Sonic drink,
AK had her first sleepover with Lex'n
We were just SiLlY!!!
