A picnic and a lot of hard work

Here a few weeks ago, we had one crazy weekend!  Not only had I volunteered to be in charge of side dishes and children's activities at our squadron picnic.  Mike found out at the last minute he had to go to  San Diego for work.  I must say, I was stressed to the max!  I needed more people to bring side dishes and well, oriental trading had not shown up yet!!  Somehow we managed to get it all done and it turned out so wonderful!  I was so thankful to have AK be my sidekick and get everything done!

While AK and I were painting signs late into the night,

Mr. Wonferful was doing this, in San Diego!  Gotta take advantage of work in great places, right?

MP and her sweet friend, Addy.

HG has a new favorite food.

Audrey wanted her face painted like a softball.  I would never tell her, but it turned out pretty scary.

Is it weird that I had to take a double take of this picture because I thought it was my mom?

Poor sweet precious!!  I have searched up and down for shoes for this sweet girl.  Her feet are extremely wide, like not human.  It they are wide enough, they are too long and vice versa.  I had to keep her in the stroller the majority of the day because she was bare foot.

I finally broke down and let out for a bit.  Think she was excited?

Success!!

Some more sumer

If you can't tell, I took a break from the photo challenge.  Not that I was doing great at it or anything.  Maybe in July, I'll bring it back.  We have had so many other things going on that I would rather post pictures of.

I must tell you, this family loves some PF Changs!  Besides the fact that it cost an arm and a leg to take our family, eating out lately with HG is quite embarrassing.  She has recently decided that screaming is the best form of communication.  It's getting better, thank goodness!  Anyway, PFC has frozen food now.  For a while, they had random things that I knew our family would never eat.  They recently have expanded their options, and OMWord, you have no idea!!!  It is just as good as the restaurant and is done in less than 15 minutes!!  Sorry, that was kind of random, but I had to suggest you try it, and set up this picture.

The day we discovered General Chang's Chicken and eggrolls!!

Chalking the driveway

I should have assumed this would happen.  I mean, MP had chalk in her hand.

While Mike was out of town, we had a movie night with a popcorn and ice cream supper!  Mom fail!

Early morning, perfect picture!!

This summer, the NWS theater is hosting kids movies every Mon. and Wed. for free!!  You better believe we are there!

$2 bills for concessions, I love tradition!

A summer sleepover, MP's first.  I can't wait to tell her it was with a boy one day.  I guess the next door neighbor really doesn't count.

Slack City

Why is it so hard to keep up?  Goodness, we have been so busy this summer.  I am loving it!!

We went to AK's end of the season softball party at the most amazing place.  I wish I could have photographed it all so you could see it.  It was a resort for employees and their families of the railroad company here.  We had the greatest time.

Not exactly what part of me thought it was a good idea to put white shorts on a 13 month old.

The pears trees were gorgeous!

This guy is busy playing softball.

This girl is busy being in awe of her daddy.

On the official 1st day of summer, we went to the dentist.  Ugh, not good news!!

MP has 4 cavities and 2 they are going to watch.  She also has a cross bite that needs to corrected.
AK has 2 cavities and also is going to need braces.  I guess I will start flossing their teeth, boo!

MP also fell down the stairs and big time scraped her back, major breakdown!!!

We are loving the pool!!

HG's first time in a pool!

This girl can't stay off the stairs!

These silly girls!

The girls were so excited to have daddy join us one day!

MP is still obsessed with lipgloss.

Art day :)

I am finally getting caught up on HG's shots.  I honestly am quite embarrassed on how behind we are, but glad to be catching up.  This girl did fabulous!  I really couldn't believe it!

We had lunch at CFA, something we never do.  Oh my goodness, the girls were so excited!

When we came home from CFA, MP went straight upstairs, got in bed and went to sleep.  What I would do for more days like that.

Whew!!  First week of summer blogged!!

School's out for Summer!!!

I had such a blast planning for AK's last day of school.  It was kind of ridiculous how excited I was for the day to be here!  I have been looking forward to summer for quite some time, like more than when I was in school.  I have big plans for us over the next couple of months and can't wait to tell you about them!!

AK and I made special little treat bags for her classmates.

I do realize this looks like a present for lunch.  I bought what I thought was paper sacks that were so cute!  I was wrong, very wrong!  I actually bought tissue paper, so I had no other choice but to wrap a lunchable.  Mike and AK have had a "thing" this year that when she was super helpful he would surprise her with a pizza lunchable.  If you know AK, she got several this year.

I stayed up late after the girls had gone to bed, to paint this sign.  I have to tell you I was super nervous because I do not have cute handwriting and am not artistic.  I was quite proud of myself!  Especially, considering the paint brushes I had to use, good grief!

Humidity at its finest!  MP was so anxious waiting for her sister!

I put together a special basket of summer fun for all the girls!

After she got home, we of course hit the pool!  That lunch I wrapped, well school released early that day.  That means, no lunch at school!  We enjoyed lunchables in the sun!

Sweet girl, who doesn't realize that the floatie is what keeps her above the water, yeeesh!!

Can you believe how much this beautiful girl has changed this year?  It goes way to fast!!
