Valentine's Day 2013

Honestly, I cannot even get over this day.  It was super long, but so, so incredible.  My family is so loved, like more than I can explain.

I always get the girls a few little "somethings", you know go big or go home, right?
Well, this year I was a little bummed, since my Valentine was on the other side of the world.
Y'all, I didn't do a single thing.  I felt horrible, I just didn't get it done.
I don't know how they knew, but so many people picked up my slack.

I love this picture more than words.  She loves to get in her daddy's boots and say daddy over and over.
And, yes, they wore that dress 3 days in a row.  To be quite honest, way more than that.  Don't worry it was washed in between.

We made these treats for Audrey's class.  These are a go to when you don't have much time.
So, so easy!!
Isn't she beautiful?  Do you get tired of me saying that?  Oh well!

Mistake #1 for the day, scheduling dr.'s appt.'s at 7:45 a.m., on the other side of town.
Hey, we were only 5 mins. late!
Go us!!

Sweet precious had some blood work done, she hated having her hand wrapped up.

We came home from the doctor and had a red lunch.

and then the great stuff......

How lucky are my sweet girls!?!
They each got a basket of treats from our sweet family in CCity.
They definitely know the way to their heart.
I know my mom is looking at this picture and in shock that there is not a single thing sitting on the bar.
Don't worry mom, I just pushed it out of the picture.

Naptime!
SN: Don't be concerned about how rough I look.
I did not go in public like this, just took my makeup off at 10 a.m.

and then....
I got these beautiful tulips from my sweet man, my favorite.

and...
I got the most perfect card from my parents.
Isn't it the greatest?

It gets better!
The next day, we got cards from my grandparents, chocolate covered strawberries from Mr. Wonderful, and a package from my parents.
My dad and mom know my girls so well.
Bandaids are the perfect gift for my MP.

So, see I told you.
Absolutely incredible!!

LOVEing this something new

Well, tomorrow is Easter.  I am doing a blog link up about Easter baskets, so that means my blog has to be current by tomorrow, or maybe Monday.

We have joined a play date group w/ some families from church.  Have I already told you that?  Anyway, we had the cutest little Valentine's Day party, complete with way too many creative moms.

This was take 500 of trying to get them both to smile.  Maybe one day, I'm not giving up.

I can always count on MP to smile, HG umm, yeah right.

We got a mailbox full of treats, ate some amazing food, and decorated some cookies.

Here's the treat we took.
Easy, but cute!!

February 4, 2013

Such a sad day, but part of our lives.  Mr. Wonderful is off defending freedom.  So proud of this man!!
August can't get here soon enough!

Seeing him walk away is the hardest part.  Knowing we can't see him for 6 months is hard to even wrap your mind around.

Before it's too late

I am thinking if I don't start combining posts I had planned, it will never get done.
So, before it's too late, here is our January.

and we wonder why this child refuses to sleep in her crib.

MP loves Deba "reading" to her.

We celebrated the accomplishments AK.

We cleaned out all the baby toys.  Broke this mama's heart!!

I spent many a day at the PO.

These two sweet girls spent a day at work with their mama.

HG has decided she needs this blanket to sleep.

We survived a horrible haircut, that turned out not so bad!

Christmas before Easter

I figure, it may be best to let you in on our Xmas before Easter gets here.
My word!!

We celebrated Christmas in our home when we returned from TX.  We waited a couple of days because we wanted the girls to be completely surprised.  I am pretty sure they thought maybe Santa had forgotten he had promised to come to our house late.

We scaled down this year, way down.  I wasn't real happy about it at first.  The end result was perfect.
They got lots of stuff they needed, flossers, fluoride, etc.  Who would have thought fluoride mouth wash could be so exciting?

HG finally got an Anywhere Chair, I think MP was more excited to get hers back.
The "bigger" girls got alarm clocks, fun placemat books, an easel, and of course a few AG things.

I wanted to get this girl a Zubel cheerleader so bad!!  It's convenient that we live in a place that has similar colors to the team we support, WHOOP!!  It's inconvenient that we live in SEC country.  Of course, there was not a cheerleader to be found, but there was a football player.
Can you tell it worked out to my advantage?

MP finally got Mckenna, even though it about killed me finding that silly doll.

Christmas morning is the best, by far one of my favorites!!
Another year in the books!

A surprise to remember

When we returned home from TX, Mr. Wonderful informed me we would be taking a little road trip to celebrate our anniversary that happened 6 weeks prior.  This little road trip turned into an overnight trip, that was one for the books.  Thank you Jen, for being brave enough to take on the girls for the night!!

I have been dying to visit Charlotte since we moved to Charleston.  Reason #1 for going to Charlotte is that there is an Ikea there, and I have had big plans for our playroom for over a year.  Reason #2, is there is a Del Frisco's, and that needs no explanation.

First stop, well Ikea of course.  We got everything I had on my shopping list and you will get to see the end result in a future post.

Swedish fish happen to be my man's favorite candy.  It seemed appropriate to hook him up since we were in a Swedish store.

My guy made reservations at the one and only, Del Frisco's.  We were super surprised to learn they had an almost identical menu to the one in Ft. Worth.  What you are looking at is reason enough for a trip to Charlotte, calamari (shanghai style).  If you have never been to a DF's, jump on it.  We decided that night, we want to eat in every single one.  We have lots of traveling to do to get that accomplished.

I was in desperate need of some make-up, so we made a quick stop at the MAC store.  You know, once you go MAC, you never go back.  Anyway, people have been raving about this stuff, one even saying you will look like you have Oprah's lighting team.  If you know me, I have never been that much of a make-up kind of girl, but thought this was worth a shot.  Umm,  it's is amazing.  It is like putting moisturizer on your face, and never feels like "cakey" makup.  Besides that, it is SPF 35.  Seriously, worth every penny.  Ok, so that was super random.

Charlotte is by far one of my favorite US cities.  It is absolutely beautiful, and the houses, oh the houses.
If you have the opportunity to visit, take it.
I cannot wait for our next visit!!
