We knew our summer in Texas was coming to an end, but we still had much to do.
We spent a couple of days with my grandparents.
I spent many an hour on this very swingset.
Grandaddy made night meals, ice cream floats.
For some incredibly strange reason, it was freezing cold the few days we were there. Like, 66 cold. That's unheard of in Texas. The girls still wanted to swim, so I agreed. After all, it's not every day you get to swim in a horse trough.
My grandparents have had this flag for years and only fly it when grandkids come to town.
My sweet grandmother displays this flag on her mantel, for Mike.
God answered some major prayers while we visited, opened the heavens and soaked the ground.
We came home and the girls had a camp out with Debba in the back yard.
We enjoyed a weekend in Colorado City with one of our favorite families.
Sweet precious couldn't get enough of Brittany. Man, how I wish she lived closer.
These girls just love each other.
The girls got to feed baby goats, which turned out to be a pretty traumatic situation. It all ended ok.
They got to ride horses,
and of course Uncle Richard couldn't let them leave without some new boots.
